At the beginning of 2015, Recruiterbox set some company goals:
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve fulfilled them. It’s been a big year for us. Here are some numbers that reflect our growth:
34
The number of members on the Recruiterbox team. At the beginning of the year, we were 13 people.
6
The number of U.S.- based employees, all of whom are remote. At the beginning of the year, we had none!
78,622
The cumulative number of job openings our customers have posted through Recruiterbox. At the beginning of the year, we were at 36,557 openings.
6,336,526
The number of candidates who have applied to openings posted through Recruiterbox. At the beginning of the year, we had 2,945,298 candidates.
1,497
Our total number of paying customers. At the beginning of the year, we were at 982 paying customers.
As excited as we are about these numbers, they only paint part of the picture of our development. On the product side, we’ve grown by leaps and bounds, too. Here are some of the improvements we introduced to our applicant tracking software in 2015:
Chrome Plugin
The Recruiterbox Chrome plugin allows you to gather candidate data easily from Github, AngelList, LinkedIn and Behance, and add candidates directly into Recruiterbox from these sites without ever leaving the candidate’s profile page. You can also pick which opening you’d like to add candidates to, as well as assign them to a stage.
External Recruitment Agencies Portal
This platform makes it easier for companies to work with recruitment agencies. Agencies now have a distinct platform to funnel candidates to, which is easily accessible by companies. The portal detects duplicate candidates, restricts agencies’ access to candidates and makes the source of candidates clear (helpful for accounting and reporting purposes).
Share Opening to All Job Boards
We’ve always offered a wide variety of job boards to send openings to. But if your preferred board(s) isn’t on that list, you can now add those, too.
Mentions
You can now use @mentions in internal notes. After tagging a user, they’ll receive an email notification.
Enhanced Resume Parsing
When you add a candidate to Recruiterbox using bulk upload or through a forwarded email, the candidate’s information will be parsed to extract their name, email and phone number. The accuracy is very high, and puts an end to tedious data entry!
Bulk Candidate Uploads
While this was an existing feature at the start of 2015, we’ve made some enhancements to it. You can now:
- Choose which stage you’d like the candidates to be added to (previously, you could only select the opening)
- Add all types of bulk uploads from one screen, including spreadsheets and resumes, or resumes only
- Add spreadsheets of candidate data and their resumes in a single upload – the resumes will be matched to the names in the CSV file, and attached to the candidates’ profiles
Candidate Stages
We made a number of changes to how we handle candidate stages, including:
- A new interface for building stages that makes it easier to visualize your hiring workflow
- Users can be easily made stage owner; there’s no need to add them to the opening first
- Any stage can be the first stage of an opening; there’s no longer a default stage
- Candidates can be marked as “decisioned,” so you can specify why they left your candidate pipeline
- Candidates can be marked as “hired”
- Candidates cab be put on hold, so you can easily return to them if the timing isn’t right now but you’d like to keep them in mind for later consideration
Candidate Interviews
It’s now easier than ever to interview candidates with our mobile-friendly changes. Before an interview you’ll receive a reminder email; click on the “View Details” to get to a quick snapshot of the candidate’s profile. This page also contains a button for contacting the candidate and a place to leave comments and interview feedback. A button will allow you to contact the canidate via phone, Skype or Google Hangouts in one click, and will be automatically customized based on the “medium” you’ve chosen in interview scheduling. In addition to providing written interview feedback, you can also give candidates a thumbs up or thumbs down.
Group Openings
In both our widget and hosted careers sites, you now have a wider range of options for grouping openings. Choose to group openings by location, team or type (full-time, part-time, etc.).
Live Chat and Phone Support
Our email support is super-fast, but if you need to speak to someone this minute, we now offer live chat and phone support.
This is just a snapshot of the improvements our developers rolled out in 2015. For a more comprehensive list, including detailed descriptions, check out our product updates website.
Also: We’re nowhere near finished. Our team has some big plans for 2016, and we’re frequently making changes to our applicant tracking software based on customer feedback. We’re excited for what the new year has in store, and hope we have the opportunity to help your organization grow, too.
Cheers!
